ABOUT CHRISTIAN

I am a first-generation Ecuadorian-American artist, builder, and designer, blending my architectural background with a deep-rooted passion for craftsmanship. At 34, I draw inspiration from both my heritage and my lifelong relationship with art. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, which has shaped my understanding of space, form, and composition—elements that carry over into my work as both a painter and a stone mason.

As a third-generation stone mason, I founded Art in Stone Masonry & Design, a company dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind works that merge artistry with structure. My approach to masonry is much like my approach to painting—intuitive, expressive, and focused on storytelling through texture, color, and movement.

Painting has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, but in recent years, I have honed my focus on abstract expressionism. My work explores emotion, energy, and the dialogue between control and spontaneity. Whether in stone or on canvas, I see every project as an opportunity to push creative boundaries and bring something unique to life.
